Cats are always watchful. They would make excellent spies if only they would talk. But they are too good for that. :)

This painting features minimalistic style inherent to best examples of Japanese art. It reflects traditional Japanese aesthetics, wabi-sabi, that can be described as natural simplicity.

The style used is also known as sumi-e and suibokuga.

Stamp featured on the painting is the author’s “signature”, carved in tensho calligraphy characters.

Materials used: rice paper, Chinese black dry ink and animal hair brush.
